While in Boston on my honeymoon I went to Boston Beer Works and experienced my first blueberry beer. It was a light colored fruity beer with blueberries in it as well. I really enjoyed it so when I was at the Anheuser-Busch brewery this past September and saw a blue berry beer there I was quite excited that I might be able to find it at a liquor store.
For Valentines Day I bought my husband a book entitled The Beer Trials by Seamus Campbell and Robin Goldstein. Paging through it to see if I recognized any of the beers I found one I thought I’d go pick up for this weekend. So, while at the store looking for this beer I stumbled across Wild Blue. I decided to purchase this blueberry lager and give it a shot.
At around $8.60 for a six pack, this blueberry lager is from Blue Dawg Brewing in Baldwinsville, NY. Coming in at 8% alcohol volume this beer has a very refreshing, fruity taste.
